With the LONA Smart Thermostat, you'll always be at the right temperature in your reptile's vivarium. This climate control tool is a more budget-friendly cousin of our BRIDA Smart thermostat. In the same way, it supports heating and cooling and can control multiple devices simultaneously. Furthermore, it is as easy to set up as the BRIDA thermostat, and it has the same wide temperature range and waterproofing.


How it differs from the BRIDA thermostat

While it has a lower wattage (2200W vs. 3500W of BRIDA'S), it's still high compared to many other thermostats on the market. Moreover, the LONA also has a slightly smaller LCD without a backlight, but it's still very readable. The LONA has a separate socket, unlike BRIDA's built-in socket, but you can add several loads the same way. Lastly, it has a Wi-Fi feature that allows you to control the LONA Smart Thermostat with a smartphone or tablet. 


Remote control option

Thanks to the LONA's additional Wi-FI functionality, you have the option to control your thermostat wirelessly from your smartphone. In addition, you can receive push notifications on your thermostat and climate status. This way, you can be immediately informed whenever anything happens. In conclusion, with the app's help, it is easy to remotely check and adjust the temperature. Finally, don't worry if you don't like apps; you can also control the LONA thermostat manually if you want.

How to use thermostats

A smart thermostat controls the temperature generated by the heat source. Place the probe inside a reptile tank and measure the tank's temperature. You can set the thermostat to a specific temperature. When the probe indicates that the temperature is too cool, the thermostat will turn the heating source on, and when the temperature gets too hot, it will turn the heating source off. The most crucial factor in correctly using a smart thermostat is the placement of the probe. The probe will only measure the temperature of the air around it. So you should place it where the animal is most frequently located.
